Cast Steel Gate Valve

Cast steel gate valves are industrial valves primarily manufactured with cast steel, mainly used in pipeline systems to shut off or regulate the flow of fluid media. They belong to forced-seal valves, which achieve fluid conduction or shut-off by moving the valve disc up and down via the valve stem. When closing, pressure must be applied to ensure the sealing surface is tightly engaged.

This type of valve is characterized by high pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and excellent sealing performance. It is suitable for various operating conditions such as water, oil products, steam, acidic media, and compressed air. It is commonly used in fields including chemical industry, energy, water treatment, shipbuilding, and petroleum industry.According to structural design, cast steel gate valves can be divided into straight-through, direct-flow, and angle types, with connection methods including flange, thread, and welding to meet different engineering requirements.

In ship applications, cast steel gate valves need to comply with specific standards, such as shipboard flange cast steel gate valves following specifications like GB/T584-1999 and GB/T585-1999, suitable for fresh water, fuel oil, lubricating oil, and high-temperature steam media. In addition, operation methods such as electric or gear drive can be selected for automated control.

During maintenance, note that the handwheel, handle, and transmission mechanism must not be used for lifting. The medium flow direction should be consistent with the arrow on the valve body, and the sealing surface should be regularly inspected to maintain good performance.
